Why We Started RLS
We built the positioning system we wished had existed for our own family business.
From experience, not theory
Excellent businesses deserve to be known for their quality.
My husband built an exceptional painting business. I’m not saying that because I’m married to him—I’m saying it because his customers told us every day. They loved his work, trusted him, and referred him to friends.
But in the neighborhoods where we wanted to build the business, we were invisible. We wanted more homeowners to know the quality our customers already recognized.
We wanted a way to introduce that business consistently, with quality leading the conversation.

That realization became RVA Local Spotlight: a way to give exceptional local businesses a recurring presence in the neighborhoods they want to serve.
Today, RLS features local businesses on a printed card mailed monthly to selected Chesterfield County neighborhoods. Your rate includes ad design, printing, and postage, with one advertiser per agreed category on the cards in your reserved editions.
